About Us

Community support makes it possible for Friends of the Library to supplement Library services.

Paradise Friends of the Library...

Contribute to the purchase of books and materials for the library.
Support magazine renewals monthly.
Support the Library's Summer and Special events annually.
Purchase equipment not covered by the county budget.
Run a used book sales every month to raise funds and provide the community with inexpensive reading and resource material.
Attend all festivals in Paradise to supply the community with used books.
Obtain used books from schools, estate sales, and community members outside of Butte County.
Work with all Butte County FOL groups to make sure all have donated books for book sales.
Meet with county officials, Butte County FOL groups, and the Butte County Library Advisory Board to express library concerns and discuss library needs.
Work with other Butte County FOL groups and the Butte County Library Advisory Board to secure sustainable funding for all Butte County libraries.
Help Library staff assess library needs and create a long-range plan.
