About Us

Our story began in 1950 when the Feather River Sanitarium was built to serve the community of Paradise. Over the years, Adventist Health grew its programs and services, serving mothers and newborns, expanding emergency, cardiac and cancer care services, and starting and building rehabilitation and hospice programs. The 100-bed hospital stood at the center of it all, and healthcare thrived in our community.

The Feather River Health Foundation was established in 1983, as a 501(c)(3) charity to connect our generous community to help provide for healthcare needs. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, we fund technology, equipment, programs, services and the greatest needs in the hospital to help improve access to healthcare and saves lives.

The Camp Fire started November 8, 2018, forever changed our community. While the landmarks and landscapes have changed, our mission remains the same. Today, we stand together with Adventist Health to rebuild and care for the health of our patients, friends and neighbors. Together, we invest in and grow the future health and wellbeing of our community.

Our story is still being written...and you can help us turn the page. Support the Feather River Health Foundation.
