In this joint webinar, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will provide an overview on federal small business resources, while SCORE will discuss risk management strategies for reopening during COVID-19.
SBA will share information on federal programs and services, including COVID-19 relief, standard SBA loan programs, federal contracting programs, small business webinar trainings, and one-on-one business counseling at no cost.
SCORE’s presentation will cover the following:
Describe the critical steps to reopening with the long-term health of one’s business in mind
Provide an understanding of the business owner’s duty to customers, employees, and vendors
Identify steps to take to reduce legal liability related to reopening
About the Speakers
Janelle Green from the SBA’s Sacramento District Office economic development team will deliver the presentation. Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small businesses and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.
Jackie McClain is the Chair of the Greater Chico Area Chapter of SCORE. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas Law School with over 30 years of experience as a senior Human Resource administrator in a number of higher education institutions.
