San Francisco Chronicle Advertising Opportunity – Informational Meeting

WHO:  Explore Butte County’s (EBC) board of directors voted unanimously to purchase an insert in the San Francisco Chronicle to exclusively promote Butte County as a destination for travelers.

WHAT: The advertising opportunity includes an entire “travel” section dedicated solely to Butte County that will print March 18, 2018. Content for 4 pages will be sponsored by EBC while the rest of the section will be editorial content written by the San Francisco Chronicle. EBC also agreed to purchase a digital “story studio” and a digital ad package; all promoting events and activities special to our area. There are many opportunities to co-brand on additional content and assets for the section for interested businesses.

WHEN: EBC would like to invite you to an informational meeting with Heather Elliott from the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday, January 30 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The meeting is open to all who would like to attend. An RSVP is requested. Light refreshments will be provided.

WHERE: The meeting will take place in the conference room at The Courtyard by Marriott (2481 Carmichael Dr., Chico). Representatives from EBC and the SF Chronicle will be available to discuss the insert, advertising opportunities and the digital story studio.

WHY: The purpose of the San Francisco Chronicle insert is to drive tourism and overnight stays in Butte County. Hoteliers and interested tourism-related businesses should plan to attend and collaborate. We look forward to seeing you there!
