Paradise Community Garden Meeting
Be part of creating a community garden in Paradise!
Paradise, CA (January 9, 2024) Join us for a community meeting to learn more about the Community Garden project, sponsored by Adventist Health Feather River Health Foundation in partnership with Butte County Local Food Network and Leadership Program 2024 Cohort (North Valley Community Foundation – Community). This important community project is seeking input and ideas from community members as this project gets underway. Gardening experience is helpful but not required.
Driven by community input and feedback, the Community Garden plans to offer a serene place for you and your family to learn how to grow herbs and vegetables, as well as provide information to support healthy eating habits. The Garden also expects to provide events that support farm-to-fork meals along with fun, garden-based activities that demonstrate the importance of connecting our food with all of life. Additionally, the garden will offer comfortable places to sit and enjoy the sweet-smelling, healing plants, or to just have time with your family to enjoy nature together. Your involvement at this critical beginning stage is vital to ensuring that the Garden meets the needs of our community.
The community meeting will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 2:30 – 4:30 pm at the Jubilee Church, located at 6280 Clark Road in Paradise. We look forward to hearing from you!
