Regenerating Paradise will host an on-site equinox celebration and planting at the Cypress Family Apartments site. Participants will mark the beginning of spring with opportunities for hands-on experience in native plant gardening, permaculture, and fire mitigation at 1567 Adams Rd in Paradise. Attendees unsure of where the site is can meet in the parking lot at the top of Cypress and will proceed to the site at the end of Adams Rd to mingle with their neighbors, enjoy coffee and pastries, then get growing! The project began last year with a series of interactive workshops and hands-on workdays designed to empower residents with the knowledge and skills to create fire-resilient and ecologically thriving landscapes. Participants will continue to get hands-on experience they can use when caring for their own property while beautifying the future Cypress Family Apartments, an affordable and senior housing development by CHIP (Community Housing Improvement Program). Key Highlights: ? Discover the benefits of native plants and permaculture for resilient landscaping ? Gain hands-on experience in land restoration and fire mitigation ? Contribute to the development of the Cypress Family Apartments community ? Connect with neighbors and build community resilience.
