Let's Meet at the Lodge! PRPD 71st Year Anniversary Celebration

Paradise Recreation & Park District is observing a very special milestone turning 71 years old.  Since 1948, PRPD has created community and quality of life through people, parks and programs for all ages.
Special events, fun activities and historical displays are being planned throughout this next year commemorating Paradise Recreation & Park District's 71^st Anniversary. Kicking off the festivities, PRPD and Paradise Chocolate Fest are co-hosting a fun-filled celebration, Let's Meet at the Lodge! Saturday, January 11^th 7-9 pm at Terry Ashe Park Recreation Center.
It's the most wonderful time of year for dessert stations and hot beverage bars brimming with whipped cream and all the accoutrements to warm a winter evening!  The "Skate Lodge" inspired festivities will include a chocolate fountain, s'mores, holiday desserts, sweet treats galore and specialty hot and cold beverages for all ages.  Adding to the fun will be a silent auction, photo op's and a no-host bar featuring hot toddies, frosty cocktails, wine and beer. 
 
A highlight of the event will include an Author's & Artist Reception; north-state writers, llustrators and artists showcasing their creations honoring and reverencing the Camp Fire and its aftermath and will include book signings  and sales ... invited guests include Steve Ferchaud, Bill Hartley, Doug Keister, Jess Mercer, Antoinette Peppler,  Ron Schwager, Carolyn Steele and  North State Writer?s Club.
