Enloe announces FREE drive-thru public flu vaccination clinics
COVID-19 makes flu vaccines vital
Adults and children ages 3 and up can get a free flu shot at Enloe Medical Center’s scheduled vaccination clinic. Enloe will host additional drive-thru clinics as soon as more vaccines arrive. Provided by Butte County Public Health, vaccines are given on a first-come, first-served basis, and cover four common flu strains. The high-dose flu vaccine that’s meant for people older than 65 will not be offered. If you would like the flu vaccine meant for seniors, please contact your provider or pharmacy.
“Getting a flu shot is the best way to prevent the flu and is especially important for the young and senior populations,” said Judy Cline, RN, director of Enloe’s Emergency department, Prompt Care and Trauma Services. “Getting a flu shot every year helps build immunity to the variety of strains of flu that we may see.”
For pregnant women, a limited supply of no-cost, preservative-free vaccines is available. For more information, please visit www.enloe.org/baby or call (530) 332-3970.
