COPD Education Program Begins

COPD Education Program Begins Breathe better! In the U.S., an estimated 24 million people have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), according to the National Institutes of Health. Of those, as many as 12 million have not been diagnosed with the condition, which causes breathing-related problems and symptoms such as frequent coughing or wheezing, and shortness of breath. Learn about this condition during Enloe Medical Center?s new COPD Education Program. It kicks off Sept. 3 and meets every Tuesday through Oct. 8. The free series meets from 5:30-7 p.m.  Anyone who has COPD, has a loved one with the condition or is at risk of COPD is encouraged to attend. To register, call Sherry Blansfield at (530) 332-4967 or visit www.enloe.org/events.
